WHOO!!! A change of plans. Following a visit to the Visitor Info station I have changed the plan and am heading south west out of Little Rock instead of going through OK. I'll do that on the way home making a big loop.

The drive today wasn't too long cuz I played around in Little Rock. NO, I wasn't looking for
the Clintons but a distant cousin of dear husband but they weren't home so I headed on my way. I am in a place called Arkadelphia, say that 10 times fast and then it's off to Texas and big sky country tomorrow.

I hope all you folks including the Ramp's don't have too much snow to play with following the storm. #2 Son and family were on the 401 Sun. night in the blizzard as I was talking to them. You see I can always reach someone by calling Granddaughter's cell. She doesn't let the toy out of her sight. By the way don't save any of that snow for me!

Till next time...OPPS! Pix tomorrow, I hope!

Yes, Doodles you were right on about the beautiful drive down to Nashville. You Americans really know how to build highways!

I'm settling in following a great 61/2 hour drive and looking forward to the OSCARS.
I am at a Best Western about an hour east of Memphis in the middle of Loretta Lynn country. Yes Lilly Lady, I waved to her from you as I swished along Hwy. 40. The weather was good for travelling since the storm had passed and no brilliant sunshine.

Cousin Mike, I can tell you that I AM travelling extensively in America and I couldn't eat another pea!

Till next time...everyone stay well!

YES, YES, YES, I made it out of the country before any nasty weather. The border crossing was again so fast I guess the guy took one look at this old doll and and let me go.
It was a really a pleasant ride passing through Flint (a place where Car Kid use to visit as a child) then on to Lansing, the Capital of MI. Just a couple of stops for gas etc. and it was on to Indianapolis. Husband visited here to see the car races(the Indy 500) a few times in his youth I however have no interest in car races so I jumped on the ring road and headed south. Since the weather was changing, lots of rain, and I was getting weary so I have checked in for the night. I spotted a workout room and an indoor pool so you can guess that I will sleep like a baby tonight.
Till next time...

Only 2 sleeps to go till the BIG ADVENTURER begins. I checked the weather forecast for our area and freezing rain seems to be predicted for Sun. so I will leave Sat. in sunshine.

#2 Son and Grandson are ready to track my trip together...I just love watching them bond and with GS ability with the computer he will have #2 Son's head spinning. No Son the computer doesn't talk to you but you will figure that out!

Yesterday I had wonderful news from dear friend Doodles and Husband that they sold their house and now are able to continue on their life's journey. YEA!
I will keep them in my thoughts and prayers and maybe just maybe I'll bump into them along the way. Now wouldn't that be a blast?

I just have a couple of visits with friends before I leave so keep an eye on my blog heaven only knows what I'll be posting!

WOW another blizzard last evening and you know what that means...sweet hugs for my snowblower. Yup, I'll be back at it today!
I have surrounded myself with roadmaps and tourbooks in preparation for the BIG adventure which starts in a little over a week. My trustie neighbour Dave is going to take care of my house just as he did last year. He is such a sweetie pie! Now I must dust off the luggage and start to plan what clothing to pack for the trip. I have been looking at the long range weather for the many cities that I will be venturing through to get an idea of temps. Maybe it will help with packing.
I heard from Little sis that Old Bro #2 arrived in Florida ok and had a short delay in TO while the plane deiced. TO and area was hit with a huge dumping of snow that night. What a change since we were not effected till last night.
Time for me to bundle up and head out to do a little snow removeal...

Somebody please help me to wipe this perpetual grin off my face...yes, I'm at it again... you know, enjoying life to the limit.
Last week I visited with #2 Son and family cause it was dear daughter-in-law birthday. She treated herself and became a redhead and it looks beautiful. I hope her mom enjoys the pix I sent. Grandson had a hockey game and in true Canadian fashion we headed off to the arena in whiteout driving conditions on Sat. afternoon to witness a good game and a win.
Granddaughter is now a blonde ontop with black undertones and snake bites below her bottom lip which don't interferr with the many musical instruments she plays. I know that all this shall pass some day.
While visiting in the area I had lunch with Lilly Lady and Car Kid which is always so enjoyable. I just wished someone would convince Car Kid to start BLOGGING!!!! I want the world to see some of his great car pix. On second thought why doesn't Lilly Lady start blogging???
I hadn't seen husband's aunt Ruth for sometime so I visited with her. I commented to her that I thought she looked quite good and she told me that she was feeling better since she put on some weight a total of 2 lbs now she is up to 98lbs from 96lbs. I could only wish!
It was fun having breakfast with #1 Son. He is very busy and it was great to see him.
I wanted to visit a family friend who just had a new baby but they were out at 11:00am. Who takes a new baby out in -17c or 1F with wind chills even much worse??? But what do I know! I couldn't wait around cause the storm was getting worse and I wanted to get home.
My drive home was a little wild with all the whiteouts not unlike driving in fog. Thank God for the yellow lines. When the visibility and the road conditions were good I really floored it and got home in the time it takes when driving in normal conditions.
The snowblower was put to good use again on Mon. since I had arranged for the contractor to install a French door between my dining room and kitchen and I didn't want him to get stuck in the drive. Everything went great and the door looks wonderful not to mention how practical it is.
OOH,OOH here comes that darn grin again! Well, enough babbling I now have to get back to the ongoing plans for the big adventurer which happens in about 2wks.
Till next time...
