~~~~I'M OFF TO THE CITY....
Not since Boxing Day which is exactly two months ago have I seen my kids and grands so they better look out cuz here I come!
Before arriving to visit them I am having lunch with several of my retired teacher friends and I know that will be a blast....LOL!
Next day a good workout at the "Y" and yup you guessed it...lunch again but this time it's with old friends.
On the weekend grandson has a hockey practice and also a game so some time will be spent at the rink.
The weather radar looks promising the only problem now is...will my little cottage miss me???
Till next time.....
~~~CLEAN UP...AGAIN!~~~
We had another severe winter storm yesterday with lots of blowing and drifting so I will be heading out to ...you guessed it... romancing the snowblower!

My eyes are like two pee holes in the snow following a weekend of too much TV!
The reasons why well, first it's the play offs in women's curling and then the Academy Awards which by the way I really enjoyed! OH that Hugh Jackman is so talented.
The curling runs all week and then the finals next weekend.
I do love curling and this is really getting me worked up for the Olympics which I will be attending next February in BC.

~~~~Greetings!~~~
Well, it's been a while since I posted...too busy with all my many jobs! LOL!
No, it's true I do have many jobs...1st is the workout routine which cuts about 3-4 hours out of the day.
Then there is studying which is another 2 to 3 hrs a day and then add in all the little jobs around the house which can not be over looked and WHAM! the day is done. This is what happens when you follow your bliss and that is what I'm doing.
I guess it's a good thing that my lovey lives so far away otherwise all of the "jobs" would be neglected and there would be nothing but constant "Play" and life can't be all play or can it???
Someday I'll let you know!
Till next time...
~~~"A HEAT WAVE???"~~~
I had been reading this morning and hadn't opened the house up or even booted up the pc when L'll Sis called from Cocoa Fl. with a slight sound of panic in her voice.
"What is going on with the weather up there? All the school buses are cancelled and the radar indicates that the tornado that went through the US mid west is heading up the Ohio valley???"
I confessed to not being awear of any weather since I was so engrossed with my book.
Anyway, after checking out the situation we are really are in for a down pour...maybe 10in. of rain and the temp last time I checked it was reading... 48F and the climbing.

Bring it on...we love an active radar screen!

Till next time...

~~~~~~~~"THE DEAD OF WINTER...
AND STILL LOVIN IT!"
We had a good blow all day yesterday so you guessed it...time for a clean up.
Our temps today are about 38F and +3C and the snowblower had a hard job of performing. By checking out the pix that drift is growing in height but at least I am able to get in and out ok. I decided to do the entire lane cuz it is a nice day out there. I'm still struck at the beauty that surrounds me and wouldn't trade it for anything.
Here it is Super Bowl Sunday and I have been thinking of dear husband...how he loved the Super Bowl. I remember the two of us watching the very first Super Bowl...great excitement at our house.
I ventured over to the "wee bench" and had a little visit with him and telling him that I am cheering for the "under dogs" and in typical fashion he rolled his eyes and shook his head and saying "They don't stand a chance"!
While at the bench I had my Ipod on and it was playing a very cool jazz number that the two of us really enjoyed and all the wonderful memories of "Nicks" came to mind....Thank you Dave Brubeck for recording "Take Five"!......
Enjoy the pix!
Till next time...
