~~~ KIRKIN' O' THE TARTAN.....
is a special church service in which all of the tartans are blessed. The weather of late has been fantastic and so perfect for the little parade of pipers.
There are many folks in my community of Scottish Decent.....Yours truly being one!
I have the honour of being able to wear 4 Tartan if I wanted .
My mother is of the Clan Gunn and just two years ago her branch of that Clan got their own Tartan.
My dear husband was of the Clan Lindsay and his branch is the Crawford.
Of all the Tartans my favorite is the Lindsay which is sometimes referred to as the Ancient Crawford.
In the first pic are the pipers of the Celtic Blue Highlanders Pipe Band.
And in this one are just some of the carriers and the Tartan Banners.
~~~HOLD YOUR NOSE!

I spotted this big guy on the neighbour's lawn the other morning around
9 AM.
It sure was late for a nocturnal creature I think he must be a very "sick" little
Stinker!

WOO HOO # 2 SON TURNED "40" YEARS OLD...
We almost had a forest fire due to all the candles.
He was my 'Mothers' Day Gift' 40 years ago.
He is such a treasure!

~~~YIKES, I WAS ON THE ROAD AGAIN THIS TIME WITH LOUISE!
She and I headed to 'Twin Oaks' the residence of #2 Son and his family for a very, very busy weekend.
Upon arrival there was great commotion since grand daughter was just arriving home form getting her hair done for her Grade 12 Prom....you will get to see the pix once you scroll down.
Then we had to have Birthday celebrations for # 2 Son which included opening his gifts.
He turned 40 years old....Holy Smokes, where do the years go????
Then Son, daughter in law, grandson and I went out for dinner....it was just lovely.
Back home for some frozen ice cream cake and a little rest then we were off to a 'Ball Hockey"
Game all the while a sever rain storm was on.
Grandson wanted a ride in Louise and he was thrilled as we boogied up to Preston for his game.
The game was not going in our favour and then the roof stared leaking and the game was called off so the 2 teams finished off the hour with a practice avoiding the water on the floor of the arena.
Saturday was a busy day of shopping and trying to stay dry as that darn storm still hadn't past.
Sunday was so nice to see the blue sky and sunshine but darn cold.
Louise started fine and I was able to do a little more shopping.
I surprised grandson when I drove him to yet another ball hockey game this time Louise went "TOPLESS"! He really love bombing around in my cute little Miata.
This time their team had a shut out and grandson played great defence.
I'm home now and looking so forward to another busy week.
Tomorrow I am teaching the 'Muscle Works One" class and I still have to finish up the lesson plan.....
Till next time due enjoy the pix!..........
"THE GRADUATE!" My sweet granddaughter.
Mother and child....
~~~THE PAINTING OF THE L-ROOM AND D-ROOM IS COMPLETE! YEA~~~

I had to clear everything three feet away for the walls then I removed all the electrical and cable coverings along with the other wall adornments. L'll Sis gave me a helping hand with all the work as well as plastering those darn nail holes.

The painter took about 14 hours to complete the job and it is a fantastic job. The colour is a soft yellow....a very nice warm colour for that room.
Tomorrow the cleaning lady will give me a hand in doing the hardwood floors and moving furniture back into place then I hope to post some pix.

Till next time.....

~~~ OK, OK, OK!
I know you all want to know where the name "Louise Hastings" came from well,
it is my pseudonym. Now I can hear you asking why does she need a pseudonym?
A few years ago I thought how cool it would be to have a pseudonym just in case I would take a notion to do some writing. If I were to use 'Cottage Kid' I don't think the reader would take me seriously but then again here you are reading my blog and I do hope it isn't too serious.... just having fun!
So you wonder why did she name the 2000 Mazda Miata LS that is Emerald Mica in colour and tan leather interior with her pseudonym.....because she wanted to!!!!
Till next time....
~~~
~~~~ HAPPY MAY DAY TO ALL OF YOU!
And my very fun life continues.
I would like to introduce you to the new addition to my family. Her name is Louise Hastings and she arrived Thursday April 29, 2010.
We have had so much fun together. To appreciate what I'm talking about you will have to...
