I made it home safe and sound.....there's no place like home!
Our weather is doing nothing and so boring and from the reports there is going to be a change in store for us. It will be an early January thaw.
RAIN....YUK !!!!!!!!!
Bring on the snow I am always up for the white stuff!

CHRISTMAS BARK
For several years I made Christmas Bark and gave it packaged in seasonal tin containers. Many of my family members always looked forward to receiving their annual gift. Well, I hadn't made it for a couple of years and the complaining was relentless so this year I was cajoled into whipping up a batch. The bark is made of white and milk chocolate roasted and salted peanuts and any dry breakfast cereal I can get my hands on. Now the twist comes when I add crushed candy canes and or other crushed mints which gives it the Christmas effect.
This is the crushed candy that Son smashed for me and as you can see some busy finger have already invaded the goodies.
I sprinkle it all over the top just before I take it outside to cool.
The white batch is outside cooling down. At this stage it doesn't look too good but once it is broken into the "bark" it is sooo tasty!

********* TIME...2:54 AM TUESDAY DECEMBER 21 2010
Here I am with grandson and his friend and we are watching the Lunar Eclipse, These guys are so comical to watch as they run from the TV to the computer to the not so cold side trying to catch the complete event.
Grandson is trying to record the event and I can't stop giggling as the two of them encourage each other.
Could someone please tell me where these 13 year old boys get all their energy?
Till next time.....

YIKES! I just checked the radar and we are getting a double whammy....not only is a Snowfall warning but a Snow Squall Watch.
It seems that this storm is just making circles over us and we in the 'eye' of the storm....in the mean time just sit back and have a look at what I was doing earlier today!
****At the request of L'll Sis and Hubby as well as so many of you that wanted me to post pix I drove around town and did a little "shutter bugging". Enjoy since I will have new shots of the storm that is hitting as I post this...
Snow plow work on Airport Rd. just as you come off Hwy# 21.
That drift looks to be about 15 feet high....Yikes!
