~~~NO 'TALL TALES' HERE!
Those of you who know me realize that I am a realist and I tell 'it' like 'it' is and I shoot right from the hip.....OK enough of the banter here goes with my story!
I left nephew's house and headed to the curling venue on foot since it was a beautiful spring day....sun was out sky was blue and the plants and shrubs were blooming. Since it is somewhat hilly in this area I climbed the incline and as I did WHOA...OMG...right in front of me were the mountains almost in my face....it was fantastic! I couldn't dwell too long since I was on a mission so off I went.
I arrived at the venue in good time so I was chatting with some of the volunteers and they suggested that since there was some time till the event started I might like to venture up to the park which has fantastic view of Vancouver so off I went.
I quite surprised myself at the easy it took this old body to climb up the hill.....now all that working out is paying off big time. I really am enjoying this new body!
As I approached the first level of the climb I came upon a small pond with ducks and geese and a wedding party having prenup photos taken. Can you imagine my surprise so I got a shot of the groom and someone took my pic with the bride. A crowd was starting go gather so off I went to the top level of the park.
The view was everything and more....a dome in which was a green house....a huge fountain that had a timed water display and then the view of Vancouver and the mountains was almost overwhelming....oh yes, I had a moment...bleep...bleep!
It was time to head back down to curling and as I did I spotted the wedding party so I took more pix.
No sit back and enjoy all the pix!
Till next time....
