~~~ANOTHER FANTASTIC DAY!
I had a morning of leisure and then headed out to the mall again on the bus which I enjoy doing. I wanted to pick up a thank gift for nephew and his wife.
As I was walking into the Bay there was a sign posted which said "Today is Senior's Day"...Woo Hoo!
And there in front of me was all the Olympic merchandise so I was able to pick up some items for daughter in law and grand daughter even though they didn't want anything. I think they will be delighted.
I headed back to nephew's to unload the stuff. Then it was off for yet another visit. This time I was going to see the daughter of dear friend J who is married to my best friend M.E. She and I have known each other for 56yrs....ouch that is a long time. I digress....
J's daughter Karen I've know for 25yrs and we have not seen each other in all that time.Well, she looks fantastic. Last I saw her she had shorter hair but I love the length it is now. It was wonderful to meet her children and her partner.
Now, the only problem is I forgot to get pix! I think I'll blame it on a senior moment...duh....
Today is Wed. March 3rd. and I am off to Whistler mountain to visit with yet another childhood friend and her family.
They have plans to take me Zip Lining....what a blast it will be....
I promise to get pix this time.
Jennifer, are you getting home sick for your beautiful city as you read these postings?
Till next time
What is "zip lining"? It sounds painful or a dressmaking term.
Hi Mary,
I love reading about all of your adventures and seeing your wonderful photos so I will put my homesickness aside for now.
This really is a small world!
I can tell from looking at the picture with your nephew and his 2 children that I grew up and spent my whole childhood about 5 blocks from there.
Did you get a chance to try the zip line down in Robson Square? I heard that people were lining up for 7 hours for it. I don't think I could stand in a line that long.
I hope you enjoy your time in Whistler and look forward to more posts from out west.
Jennifer
